I am just dragging myself up the stairs to bed and I realized I didn't post today. Hardly a good start for the next hundred posts. Somedays the universe feels like it is working against you but I think you need to stop and take a minute to enjoy just where you are.
I got up at 5:45 this morning. I had been up at least twice in the night with kids but was determined to get to the gym. I tried to be sneaky and quiet and by the time I found my gym pass, socks, shorts, and water bottle (which I still left at home) it was 6:30 by the time I was on the eliptical. Well at least the cardiologist was on the eliptical next to me in case I had a heart attack!
I still don't know how I can get up at 5:30 in the morning and I am still yelling at kids with two minutes until it is time to get on the bus and someone doesn't know where their coat, shoes, socks, lunch, permission slip is. I have given up on trying to find a leash for the dog to walk to the bus and find myself more often then not doing hair and handing out granola bars while running to the bus in my pjamas.
After school and dance we were off to an amazing multicultural celebration at the school. The food was awesome and Olivia's choir was one of the amazing performers. We managed to hold it together once we got there. My mom is in town for a visit thank goodness since my big eight seat vehicle is in the shop (thanks to the folks at Cypress for going out of their way to take care of us!) So we all piled into my mom's car to pick up Olivia from dance where I was holding our Ukranian sausage and perogies on my lap which spilled boiling hot sauce out onto my jeans! Once Olivia got in the car there wasn't room for Carson and I both and Olivia had forgotten her outfit for performing so Car and I walked to the school. We had the nicest visit on the way. I forget how sweet and amazing my little three year old is until I have a minute alone with him. I was just worried about my sausage soaked pants if we happened upon a stray dog.
I think my mom is ready to head back to peace and quiet after a few days of the Rokochy rodeo. My mom leaned over and asked Levi durring the performance if I knew the man holding Ellie. It was a fabulous coworker of Pats who had taken pity on us and was not only holding her but feeding her with a fork! Around here we just toss it on her tray and say have at it Ellie!
Well I am off to bed. We will see if I get up for my 5:30 wake up call tomorrow to the rainy drizzly morning to go to the gym and for my morning dose of Switzer's morning show or if I will give in and stay at home and start the day all over again tomorrow........
I will announce the winner of my readers funny story/picture tomorrow!
